Humans Top the Food Chain…
Humans Top the food chain
Humans are at the top of the food chain. Have you ever thought about this? We are delicate and vulnerable in physical characteristics compared to many of God’s creatures, so how is it possible we’ve remained superior?
Because of our minds. We are God’s prized creation, formed in His likeness, the very apex of His creativity. Our intellect allows us to communicate in voice and written form, to be creative, to build towers, grow food, invent computers, heal the sick…and I could go on and on and on…And because God wanted us to use our incredible brains to commune with Him in a way no other creation could, we were given the free will to choose things in this life. Since we’re made like Him, we’re not robots. We chose how we will live and love and function.
This free will led to the world we witness now, one torn by pain, cruelty, and death, so Jesus came to give us life. To drag us away from this now fallen place into our best life with Him. But He will not force us to love or obey Him.
Do you look around and see the brokenness of the world? Do you desire to change the way you live and the decisions you make? Do you ever wonder how we, being at the top of food chain, could have gotten so sick and corrupted?
If so, decide to turn to Him. Use the mind He’s given you to seek Him, follow Him, and learn His Word.
It’s easy. Ask. Believe. Receive.
Ask Jesus to forgive your of your sins. Declare that you believe God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to earth where He lived a sinless life, died on the cross take take the punishment for your sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven where He’s seated at the right hand of the Father, ruling over all. Then, receive His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, into your heart which claims you as His for eternity, and changes you from the inside out.
Only He, the One who formed every part of you and placed you at the top of the food chain, can give you what you need.
Let’s talk about this! When did you realize you were made by a Creator? Have you accepted Him as your Savior? Tell us your story in the comments!
